Ok, here's the dirt on Ameristar Financial Servicing Co LLC. Everything at the business address they use is in the name of CHARLES Wonderlic, Richard's daddy. It seems that daddy set up this business for his spoiled and arrogant son Richard Wonderlic, who claims to be "President" of Ameristar Financial Servicing Co, LLC. However, there are no filings with the State of Illinois to document that. And, there is no debt collection license on file for Ameristar, or Richard Wonderlic or Charles Wonderlic as required by law. They are operating as debt collectors illegally. However, Charles Wonderlic is well known and locally connected, and nobody will do anything against him at the local level. There are no listed business telephone numbers in the name of Ameristar in the state of ILLINOIS. The other poster as correct, they respond to government agencies in an arrogant manner and demonstrate some sense of entitlement to engage in their illegal activity. Hey Richard, I'm still waiting for you to file that lawsuit you threatened me with. That would really make my day, you punk. Then they threaten "legal action" by some alleged attorney named Dave Arnold. Well Dave Arnold is not listed anywhere in the State of Illinois as an attorney, nor has the Bar Association ever heard of him. I called the state to find out if he is licensed, and they came up with nothing. Ameristar Financial Servicing Co, LLC is a bogus and illegal operation running an UNLICENSED debt collection operation and threatening people with a lawyer who does not exist. Keep in mind that you can sue debt collectors personally, as well as and separate from the company they work for. Thats right, Mr. Bill Dunn, I have your home address, DOB, and SS# too. And I have 1 year from the date of your FDCPA violation to file suit. That would be 9/2007. I am not done with Ameristar. They are PUNKS, and will get what is coming to them. I have written to everyone suggested except the FBI. Your feelings are strong about a class action lawsuit, okay. I did research on illegal repossessions, and its true, thought it was an oxymoron, but not. Ameristar is very unfair and need to be stopped. I'm annoyed that my attorney has to deal with them. My requests were not over the top and could have been dealt with professionally. Their arrogance is beyond belief, especially after finding out that if no contract was submitted on their behalf, than who are they to collect?! We consumers have rights and my heart goes out to Ann, whose car was "stolen" by them, its not right! My situation could be resolved, but its now down to a matter of principal! I have to cut and paste an email Bill Dunn sent to me in response to me reaching out, in hopes he was a legitimate businessman rather than a seedy, money grubbing thug! Again, my situation could be resolved, but their attitude and manner of conducting business is illegal. Steve, I will send a letter to the FBI after following your previous suggestions, which finally got a response from Ameristar. Whatever comes of my situation I want the word to be shouted from the top of a mountain how corrupt and illegal Ameristar is. And why is it after several conversation, numerous letters, etc., did Bill Dunn just now mention "late fees" and "interests". My contract ended August 2006, if you want to come and battle for more money, come on, I have the funds to fight for right and battle the wrong!!! BRING IT ON!! Again, its now about principal! And how flippant their response to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General (California and Illinois) you are going to be sorry! Very sorry for messing with consumers. Ann, my advice to you, if you can hold on and fight! If they illegally repossessed your car, write to the agencies mentioned by Steve. I know money is tight right now, but be a thorn in Ameristar's side. Fight them GIRL!! You can do it. And know you are not the only one in the struggle with them.

Class action lawsuits are very expensive, time consuming, and evn if you win you get next to nothing. The lawyers make all of the money. And, no lawyers do these on contingency. All actual costs are right up front. Out of YOUR pocket. The lawyers invest only their time. This is the one thing that aggravates me the most. The first words are always "file a class action lawsuit". everyone wants to ride the coat tails of someone elses efforts. Stand up to these fools on your own. It is very easy to do. I will give you the information from when I beat on Ameristar, and won. Office Of The Attorney General, State of Illinois Lisa Madigan, Attorney General Consumer Protection Division 500 S. Second St Springfield, Il. 62706 Tel:(217)782-1090 Fax:(217)782-7046 Also file an online complaint at FTC.gov, and if you have enough documentation you could present it to a prosecutor for fraud charges, and also the FBI financial crimes division. Hammer these fools!

After trying to deal with Ameristar on my own to no avail, I have consulted an attorney, after telling him about Ameristar's track record of overcharging, harrassing and buying contracts without having consumers sign another contract with them, my attorney said he is interested in filing a class action suit against them. How many of you are sick and tired of Ameristar's illegal means of collecting money from consumers??? Please respond. I am printing the comments/complaints about this company and giving to my attorney. This company needs to be stopped!
