Ameritex Movers Dallas Ameritex (Dallas) broke my furniture during a move and when I called to tell them about it, they did nothing - even though they are "insured"!! Dallas, TX 75229 Texas
I decided to go with Ameritex for our move from an apartment to a house. I shopped around and went with them because they seemed to have the best customer service and more importantly, they were "insured". We lived on the 3rd floor of the apartment complex and to make the move easier, the moving guys decided to "take apart" a few pieces of our furniture so they can move faster. Well, after they unloaded the furniture in the house, I noticed that they didn't take it apart, but they actually broke it by snapping the pieces out of place! I called Ameritex to tell them what had happened (afterall, they are insured!!) and the lady said there was nothing they can do. She then said "How do we know you didn't break it after our movers left?"!! That's when I lost it. I told her that the least she can do is send those guys back to fix what they broke. She said she would send them but it would cost me the per hour rate they charge for a move!!! ARE YOU KIDDING?????
I didn't push the matter any further because I can tell it was going no where. I have used several movers in my life and this is by far the WORSE customer service I have experienced. Ameritex was very nice when I called for a quote and called to set it up. Once the job was done, they did a complete 180. I am BIG on customer service and will NEVER use them again and will NEVER recommend anyone I know to them. I am hoping people read this before deciding on a mover because these days it really is all about word of mouth!!!! DO NOT USE AMERITEX.

I am BIG on customer service and will NEVER use them again and will NEVER recommend anyone I know to them.
