Anderson Window And Door ripoff poor long term quality and incompetent service for product repairs Bayport Minnesota
My Anderson windows will soon be 20 years old. They began to fall apart about 7-8 years ago, were repaired, at my expense, at that time.
The vinyl framing, molding, or whatever the edges around the glass are called is, are cracking, splintered, and falling apart into pieces.
Anderson gave me a form to send to a local company that supposedly does repair work on Anderson windows. They don't.
Hardware (opener/crank handles) is also cracking and splitting.
I would NEVER recommend Anderson windows for a remodeling or building.
The warranty is crap. The ONLY thing covered is spontaneous glass breakage and none of the structural components. Read it for yourself. I foolishly thought 20 years meant 20 years.
I open most of my windows only to clean them (carefully) as it seems they can't take normal use.
