I was asked to take the sweetest little pygmy goat that needed assistance delivering her baby to the vet from a friend. The babys legs were out but couldn't go any further. I called this clinic & asked if they did large animals & explained what I had. They said of course they do large animals & could help her. My normal vet was not available that day. So, I broght her to this clinic and immeditally they had a male tech ram his arms up her trying to push the baby back in to turn the baby so that maybe it could come out. First of all, a pygmy goat is very very tiny inside and no one in thier right mind would do this. As I found out after they killed her, they should have done an emergency c-section on this poor little girl.
They forced this baby back inside of the mother SIX times to re-adjust her and the whold time, tearing the lining of the intestines causing her miserable pain. This poor little goat was tortured!!! I have never had a goat like this or any goat for that matter. I took this goat to help a friend that couldn't leave thier business that day. So you cannot imagin the pure guilt i feel for not knowing what signs to look for. Not knowing that things were not right in that clinic. I took video of that day as all of this took place & showed these videos to the vets that I do know that were not available at that time & they could not believe what they saw.
I was told over again that they should not be practicing. When I tried to call Dr. Sara Kessler to dicuss this, she became very irate! She began to scream, yell & cus at me. Never giving me a monent to speak or respond to anything she said and then hung up on me. We tried talking to her staff & again, they were completely rude and they would hang up on us. Completely unproffesional. Their charges were over $1200.00. $1200.00 for tortering & killing that poor little goat. Since this has happened, I have researched this clinic and Vet and learned that there are many other complaints. So do your homework before you think to take your pet here. Beware that this vet may open another clinic under a different name because Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital's name is getting tarnished so quickly. Deservingly so!! Always ask who the vet is that your using!
