Burgoz is her maiden name. Married Jesus Mariscal and then dumped him. Married Robert Melton, shot himself. Married again, husband deported. This is actually an old issue. 1992 I lent my ex-best friend a zero balance credit card with a credit limit of 2500.00. This is after she begged and begged me for the loan of the credit card. "I promise I will make payments and take care of the card." She says. I called the credit card company and authorized to have her name on the credit card. Anna also asked if I could have the bill sent to my address as she didn't want her husband to know. That should have been a red flag. Probably for the first 6 months or so, she was able to make payments on the card. Shortly after that I called to have the bill sent to her home address. Anna was not pleased. To make the long story short, I got stuck with a 2500.00 bill and I took her to small claims court and I was able to garnish her wages. I got one check for 165.00. After that she quit her job. Went on drugs and is now convicted. This is 2005. A couple of years ago, I tried to take her to court again, and was told the statue of limiations had passed and I couldn't take her to court again. So you mean to tell me that the woman owes me this money and I can't take her to court. I guess the courts protect the guilty. This is 2005 and the issue is 13 years old. We both live in Parker, Arizona and I see her on the street and has she ever come to me and said anything about payments or a bag of groceries for my children? But yet in 13 years, she has bought 4 cars, 2 of which are brand new. Braces for her daughter. Oh yeah, she also remarried in 1996, husband killed himself and she cashed in on big bucks. Didn't throw any money my way! Not familiar with the husband she married that got deported.

Some things you just shouldn't share with anybody.

When someone doesn't have their own credit card, there's a reason why. That means you shouldn't give them one of your cards either. If you do, make sure to review the bill every month to be sure they are making the payments. She could have gotten a post office box if she didn't want her husband to see it. However it is a bad idea to incur debts in Arizona without telling your spouse; it is a community property state. He or she is also responsible to pay whether they know it or not. You did sue and win during the statute of limitations, there is no need to sue again. However you let the judgement expire. You could have filed with the court every 5 years to renew the judgement and keep trying to garnish her wages, bank accounts, etc. until you collected all the money.
