This photographer was contracted by us to shoot our engagement pictures in the Fall of 2011 and wedding pictures in the Spring of 2012.  After rescheduling the initial consultation twice, she requested a reschedule of the engagement session approximately 30 hours prior to the appointment, which had been set up 3 weeks in advance.

After explaining that this was the only day available for us, she explained that she had to babysit.  This story later turned into her grandmother dying.  We had to cancel the appointment and were able to find another highly recommended photographer to do the session the following day.  Anna Moser refused to return our deposit, citing that we were under contract.  She then did not show up for the wedding.  Correspondence with Anna since these events have been worded in a way that is very unprofessional and leads us to believe she does not put photography first.

The point is there are many tried and true photographers in the Des Moines area that are fully capable of doing everything you ask and more.  Unless you know this photographer personally, look elsewhere.  Wedding pictures are not something to be left to chance.

Adam and Ann hired me to do their photography for their wedding at the time when we first met we scheduled their engagement session.  Which was about three weeks away.  a day before pictures were to be taken for their engagement session I advised my clients that I would need to reschedule the engagement session because "something personal had come up".  I advised them that I was available any other day after that and I could do any evening appointment or weekend appointment and advised them that I was truly sorry for the inconvenience.  I made every attempt to reschedule their engagement pictures.  This session was made 9 months before their ceremony so there was plenty of time for them to find another date that would suit them.    Immediately Ann and Adam wrote back to me and said
"Currently, I would like to discontinue using you as my photographer, unless I am going to get some sort of discount for this inconvience you have caused us. We have both decided we are going to pursue someone else because we are upset with this situation, "
At that time I chose to not give them any further discounts because I had already offered them free engagement session and CD of all their pictures. Clients did not like that and have advised me that they are going to pursue the matter further.  Adam advised me they not only want the $150 back that was the deposit, but also lost waiges for taking the entire day off work.    My clients signed a contract that states  "All deposits are non-refundable even if date is changed or wedding cancelled for any reason"   going off that I would like to say that I have never had a bad review before all my reviews that clients leave for me are on www.wedj.com.  I have always tried my best to keep any appointments made, but I am an honest person, I am human and sometimes things come up and appointments need to be changed.
