Anthony's Beehive Tony Schwager Charges for product immediately, does not return phone call or e-mail inquiries, haven't received product ordered on 2/10/2010, and it's May 6, 2010 Internet
I am very perplexed by the business of Anthony's bees. I was hooked by the heartwarming story of a developmentally disabled young man who had an affinity for bees since he was 8-yrs-old. I wanted to be their customer for that very reason. I ordered 100 honey sticks last year, and after well over three months, numerous phone calls and e-mails, Tony did in fact ship the honey sticks, AND refunded the money I had paid for them months before.
I was torn. I didn't want the product for free, but I had exhausted my energy in trying to get the product. So, I decided to accept the refund and place a substantial lip balm order, figuring I was just one customer who got lost in the shuffle. I called Tony and asked if we had enough lead time to get the lip balm by a certain date (the order was for an event). He agreed that there was enough time to get them to me. The event came and went, and the lip balm finally made it to my door, albeit after the fact...I wasn't happy, but he made "somewhat" good on the order. The problem is that everybody LOVES the lipbalm. So, on 2/10/2010 I placed an order for $286.20 worth of lipbalm, $55.25 s&h. Today is 5/6/2010, and not only have I not received the lipbalm, I have placed numerous phone and e-mail inquiries regarding the status of this order, but not one call or e-mail has been returned. The order was charged to my credit card in 2/2010, & Tony called to tell me of label and packaging changes. He sent me a new sample of it. He agreed that I would have the product in April 2010. It is May, and it's not here. Isn't there a law about charging customers before product is shipped?
