apical online Very convincing scam Panama Internet
Firstly you get a pop up message on your computer saying that microsoft has detected an intrusion which jeapodizes your financial security and there is a risk of identity theft.
There is a number that you are told to call.
Then the very helpful man on the phone tells you he can fix all problems, install damaged programmes and install a firewall for only US $ 2,300. (with three years of tech support.).
He then takes your money from your credit card with many documents and contracts to sign.
He then "works' on your computer, eventually fixing it. I just had an uneasy feeling about them and googled the company to find that they are scammers.
I called my bank to cancel my credit card and another employee from the scamming company rang me and I said I didn't want the 3 year assistance. he asked if I had raised a dispute with my bank and he said, if I didn't, he would agree to a partial refund of $1,999. I don't think I will be seeing any money.
A reputable computer fixing company then had a look at my computer. Nothing had been fixed and no firewall had been installed but scamming tools had been.
