Saw an ad on Saturday to "Hurry in" only a few days left before sale ends. Hot tubs starting at $ 1595.00. Went in Sunday about 11:30 and was greeted by the salesman "Jacob".

I told him I had seen the ad and wanted to see the Hot tubs for $1595.00 that I saw on ad. He said he hadnt seen the ad but that the tubs for 1595.00 would be the "TLX10" and a smaller that I wasnt interested in.

I was given my choice of colors theyhad (4) to choose from, I picked the ash. I added the cover which cost me another $200.00. We set up a delivery date for the following Thursday, and that we would pick it up at the Everett Washington store.I called today (Wedneday) to confirm that my tub would be there tomorrow and talked to another sales person "Steve" who didnt have any idea of my sale or the delivery, but that he would call the wherehouse and phone me back.

He phoned back about 20 minutes later and told me that they didnt have anymore of the "ad hot tubs" and that they would probably just refund my money. Well that wasnt good enough so I called the "manager" at the corprate office and talked to A "Chris B." who told me that the ad was for a factory defect or blemished tub and that they only had 5 and they were sold.

I told him that I picked my own color and was told I was buying a "new tub" he told me he would see what he could do and call me back. Then the original sales person called me and said they were trying to find me a tub and that as soon as his manger "Chris B." called him he would call me back. Well I never heard anything so at 2:00pm I called the sales person "again". He said he was stll waiting to hear from his manager and he would call me back by the end of the day (they close at 6:00). At 5:00pm I called the manager back and was then asked my name and put on hold for a minute, when the person came back to the phone I was told "Chris" was in meeting" and he would call me back, and never did.

Complaint is false, and was subject of a slander/libel suit

This five-year old complaint has just come to the attention of our head office, and we are choosing to respond despite the age of the complaint. We had our attorney file a slander/libel suit against the complainant, because her allegations were false and malicious. Our records indicate that she later filed for bankruptcy, and since there appeared little chance for redress we eventually let the matter drop. We believe that this web site performs a useful and important public service. However, as seen here, there is opportunity for abuse, and it is unfortunate that the site owners refuse to remove spurious complaints such as this. However, we do thank them for providing an opportunity for rebuttal. Apollo Spas has an excellent record of quality and service and is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Our product quality and value is such that our hot tubs are now being sold world-wide.
