There was a lot more they could have done. It was the waiter's fault, not the customer's, and him and his company should have taken full responcibility. I used to wait tables. I've seen servers accidentally dump trays of ribs all over customers. And I've seen my managers take the information of those customers, tell them to send them the dry-cleaning bill and they'll send them a check to reimburse it. No, managers don't HAVE to go that far in making sure the customer leaves their restaurant happy, but the fact that he got a measly $20 after the time, turmoil and money lost at the expense of some clumsy waiter. that doesn't seem quite right to me. I've experienced the same sort of uncaringness from Applebees before. A waitress dumped a glass of water all over my lap, and seeing as we were sitting directly below the air conditioner set on full blast we asked to be moved. After 30 minutes of waiting without a word we moved ourselves to a nearby table. We waited and hour, all the while telling other servers to notify our waitress that we had moved. We got fed up and tracked down our waitress who had just come back from lunch. She said she thought we left so our food had been thrown out. At that point we left, and the management ran out of the restaurant to stop us, saying we could have a gift card instead. We told him all we wanted was some food and we weren't going to wait any longer. Ten minutes later we were all stuffed with McDonald's.

To the waiter , or Mcemployee that said " Oh Please" , The dress cost over $300 , and she just got it, and it is not the kind that gets tossed into YOUR local laundromat. It has to be PROFESSIONALLY cleaned, both our plates had GLASS in them , we could not finish them , and we were IGNORED, and disrespected . We eat at cafes / restaurants near our home, not because of price. It was not the $, thats nothing. It was the lack of respect for my wife when THEY did the wrong.

It sounds like they DID take care of the situation. they refunded $10 from your bill that night, and are sending you another $10 in the form of a gift card. Considering the low prices at Applebees, you are practically getting your entire dinner for free. What more do you want them to do? You admit your wife was barely injured, there was no medical emergency involved, nor did your wife require anything more than a bandaid if even that. So her dress had beer spilled on it ... the dress can be washed! My question for you is .... what more do you expect the restaurant to do in order to satisfactorily resolve this situation? If giving you nearly a full refund for a meal that you've consumed most of is not enough, then what is???? You obviously did not spell out your expectations to the general manager, so how about making it clear on this board?
