Company Owner, Dylan Brown, whom I contacted via phone gave me the impression he was a reputable appliance guy who had been fixing dishwashers for years. I had 2 stopped up dishwashers and the water would not drain out properly. Over the phone, Dylan led me to believe he could definitely take care of my dishwasher problems at a very reasonable price and his service fee would be applied to the total price. He said, "I'd be very pleased with his service." He also said since both of my rental units (a duplex) were next door to each other he would only charge me one service charge of $59. He Upon arriving, he looked inside the 1st dishwasher and then he opened the door under the sink. He said my problem was minor as he yanked rather hard on the garbage disposal. He said whoever installed the garbage disposal didn't pull the plug out that connects the dishwasher to the sink drain. Dylan then went next door and looked inside the 2nd dishwasher. He again, said the problem was very minor and that all the dishwasher needed was bleach for the water to drain properly.

I looked under the tenant's sink and found bleach. Dylan poured bleach in a drain inside the dishwasher and said my problem was solved. It took Dylan 15 minutes or less to "fix" both dishwashers and he used no tools. I was so impressed with this guy that I asked him if he could help me open the door on a 3rd duplex (My units are all side by side.)once he told me his 2nd specialty was "make ready" on rentals. The previous tenants moved out of my 3rd unit without returning the keys to the unit. Dylan said he'd be glad to help me out and open the door for us. Usually our son who was out of town for the week-end takes care of such matters. Using a screwdriver/hammer, Dylan removed the door facing and opened the door to the unit in less than 10 minutes. The tenant left quite a few of their belongings, in the garage; pictures, lamps, a vacuum cleaner, two large fans, and odds/ends worth a good $150 minim at a garage sale. Dylan asked if he could have the stuffed and I agreed, he packed most of it into his truck.

I gave him all that he wanted since it was stuff I didn't need and also, because he had been nice enough to open the door for us. Next I asked for his bill. It was $275.00 which I thought was a bit steep considering the time/labor involved to fix everything was less than a half hour. When I asked why so much, he said advertising over the internet was expensive. Miffed, I wrote a check for $275 and he left. I returned to the 1st unit and continued cleaning for the next tenant. About two hours after Dylan left, I turn on the water at the sink and water ran all over the floor. Apparently when Dylan yanked on the garbage disposal he dislodge the pipe that connects the garbage disposal to the sink. I then called Dylan immediately and explained the problem. He said he would come back and fix the problem. My husband and I waited 6 hours. We also called Dylan 3-4 times. He never returned our phone calls nor did he ever return to fix anything. This all took place on a Saturday. When I called Dylan Monday morning, he said the garbage disposal was a plumbing problem.

I'd used the sink often prior to Dylan "fixing" the dishwasher and no water ever ran underneath the sink. After speaking with Dylan on Monday morning, I went to my bank and learned he cashed my check on Saturday leaving me no way of getting any of my money back. On Tuesday afternoon, the tenant who lives in the 2nd duplex call and told me the water was still not draining out of the dishwasher. Obviously "bleach" was not a solution. I called Dylan again and told him the 2nd dishwasher was not draining and that if he didn't return and fix my dishwashers I'd file a police report. He hung up on me. I called a plumber who fixed both dishwashers for a total of $167.00. I'm angry but there isn't anything I can do since my check had already been cashed and I've been beat out approximately $175. Dylan did in fact, open the door to the unit. However, had I called out a locksmith to open the door, the charges would have been about $100 and certainly not $275. "A Master Appliance," appears to know little about dishwashers, the only thing they appear to have "mastered" is how to rip-off consumers of their hard earned money. Dylan is a very dishonest appliance repair man.
