I hired Ardor SEO for SEO work on my blog. I was impressed with their initial analysis which showed where they could improve SEO. They gave me a quote for $2,310 a month for six months or $4,620 a month for 3 months. I had a formal proposal that outlined everything they would do. I chose the 3 month plan at the higher rate.

After the three months were up, they charged me two more months without my permission. Part of this was my fault for not noticing we had already paid them the full amount. I received very few reports or info on what was going on. I did notice five incidents where my site was messed up, an article went out to my RSS feed on accident, or my titles had been changed to something nonsensical. All things done by Ardor. I dug into things more and discovered many problems. They changed many of my SEO titles which show up on social media to things like:

Real Estate Worth Coaching

Podcast 102: Rentals Income to Retire Early

Financing Multiple Investment Propertie

This was the quality of work I saw over and over. Typos, titles that don't make sense, and much more. They changed meta descriptions for many articles. Five articles had the exact same meta description which had nothing to do with the article.

They also wanted more reviews on my site. Instead of using the real reviews I gave them, they simply made up reviews like:

"I have been able to flip 50 homes in the last 5 months"

"Today, I’m earning an average commission of $700,000 a year."

Things that make no sense or are way out of line. They admitted these were embarrassing.

One of the biggest things they promised were authority backlinks. After four months I asked for a list of backlinks they had obtained. It took them three weeks to get me a report and all the links were obtained after I asked for the report. The so called authority links were horrendous. I did not recognize one site, and most sites posted the exact same article. The sites had no traffic, and barely any links into them. They listed 12 video embeds they had gotten for me.  Every single link was on a tiny blog and posted the exact same day April 12th. It was obvious these were not authority links. Is asked multiple times about the video links and they ignored me each time.

In the end, they never finished the work on the proposal but charged me two extra months. Kris even apologized in an email saying he should have called me and had a consultation to see if I wanted to continue working with them. He admitted they should not have charged me, but would not issue a refund. His reasoning was that they did a lot of work and my site had slightly better traffic so I should be happy (My site actually had a much smaller gain in traffic over the previous year).

I gave them every chance to make things right. I only asked for a refund for the extra months they charged me, even though they never finished all the work on the proposal and they would not do it. They are all talk. I would not recommend them to anyone. It was sad because the first audit was so good and thorough. I was so excited to find a great SEO company, and they failed miserably. It took us a ton of time and searching to undo the mistakes, typos, and non sensecial things the added to my blog. They even changed my blog page design and had my blog title in a different language multiple times. They never noticed until we pointed it out.   Update!   After our dipsute about the money Kris Reid went on a crusade to destroy my reputation. He posted fake reviews all over Facebook, YouTube, online, on this site, and more. People who used to work for him confirmed he had a project to get back at me. You can see the fake review about investfourmore.com on this site. He claims I stole earnest money when this is a blog, not a real estate company!!    He also removed most of the authority links. Three quarters of the articles he sent me with the links go to a 404 error page. He got rid of almost all of them! I posted a review on Youtube and my website about him. I show the emails he sent and the work he did that did more harm than good on my site.
