Area Circulation Company that doesn't allow me to cancel subscription Virginia Beach Virginia
I recieved a call from a person saying i was being entered in a sweepstakes. As part of the entry I was going to recieve this magazine offer from Area Circulation. They told me i would recieve magazines for about 60 months and pay $74 for 12 months.
I have tried numerous times to cancel the subsciption with them and they will not allow me to. The magazines I was receiving at this time weren't even the ones i asked for. So I tried to let them know that I wasn't happy with the service and if I going to pay for it I wanted to receive the magazines I paid for. Well they kept on telling me that it would take from 8 to 12 weeks for that change to occur. I kept on receiving bills to pay for the magazines I didnt request.
So I called once again and all they do is offer to lower the payment amount or change the amount of magazines i recieve. They even asked if I would like to give the magazines o a friend but still continue paying for them.
I no longer have the time to read the magazines or the money at the moment.I would just like to cancel the account and not have to deal with this anymore.

I used to work for this company and let me tell you, the first thing they told us new employees was that if we had to lie to get people to buy, then do it. Right away I knew I should have left but I needed a job, so I stayed. We had a script to read off of and most of the time, we just made up stuff. Warning to the public!!! Don't ever give your credit card number to any individual that won't give you his/her last name. If the person gives the name up in under 15 seconds, it is most likely a false last name and hang up immediately. These scams are known throughout to be hard to cancel and they hardly ever turn out good for the buyer.
