Complaint Review: ArizonaVacation Rentals Aka Sunbelt Vacation Rentals & Maricopa Holdings - Scottsdale Arizona

 I rented a beautiful home thru Arizona Vacation Rentals and was quite surprised when I arrived at this gorgeous and expensive home.  This was not the home I saw on line and booked.  The bedding was dirty and I do not think it had been changed.  I rented one home and they told me we had to go to another home not far because the previous tenants left it dirty and they were not able to cleanthe home  in time for our arrival.  They also said the Air Conditioning was not working.  Well, if the previous home was dirty, I walked into this home and only was it not as nice of a home, but this is what my experience was: (1) , there was food in the refrigerator, (2) used sheets on the bed in 2 bedrooms, (3) We were told the master was a King bed and it was a Queen  (4) towels still n the dryer.  (5)  The towels in two of the bathrooms looked like rags;  holes in towels, and the towels were still damp.  When I complained, they said they would  send someone to clean but we had to leavethe home because we didn't arrive until 8 pm.  When we return at 10 pm, the home was still not clean.  We walked on the floor w/ white socks and the socks were filty.  The floor tile was a medium to dark color and the socks told the story that the floors had not been cleaned.  They told us we could heat the pool for an additional $40 per day but the pool heater did not work and we had teenagers and adults in our party that were looking forward to using the pool.  We rented this home because the backyard looked terrific in the home we thought  we would occupy. In the home they switched us to,  the pool was just OK but could not be heated.  There were no pool towels so when we used the tan colored towels they provided in the bathrooms, they got bleached at the pool and they charged us $125 for bleached towels.  After lots of complaning, they did not credit us any money for pool heater not working. wrong home and dirty home or the inconvenience of changing home plus the fact the home was dirty.  What a nighmare!!

I did some research on this company and discovered that Arizina Vacations Rentals was previously called SunBelt Vacation Rentals and there were so many negative reports regarding"switching" home and dirty home, etc. that it looks like they just changed their name.  Everything you read about SunBelt Vacation Rentals is true and it's even worst than the other people say.  I asked to speak with the owner of Vacation Rentals and was told Mr. Sullivan would get in touch and I am strill waitring

I  tried to dispute the charges on my credit card and they have an attorney that threatened me and after weeks of disputing the towel charges and wanting some type of credit for having to go to a home I did not rent, they won.  They got their attorney involved and I did not want to have to pay an attorney and have more charges.  It was not a good vacation.

I hope you do not rent from this company because they are not honest.  My first clue was they would not give us an address " for safety reasons ".  I think they do not give out addresses because they show a beautiful  home and then they give phony excuses why you cannot go to the gorgeous home you think you will be renting.  This is my first bad experience and I hope this company is put out of business because you will not be happy the way youwil be treated if there is any problem.  They charge  high prices and give poor customer service.  I am almost afraid to rent a home again in Scottsdale because of this experience.
