I purchased a laptop from ARM Computer because they were a good buy and seemed to have a decent product according to PCWorld. Boy, was I wrong! After a year, the screen started to go out on the computer.

I sent it in under my extended four year warranty and they fixed it, no problem. I thought my worries were over... Well, last summer the screen started to flicker again. I sent it back in. Several weeks later, they sent it back to me (never having noted that it had been received in the first place) and after opening the box, I realized that the power cord had not been sent, and the modem cord, which I had sent because the modem was malfunctioning, was the wrong cord! I called, rather upset, and a couple of weeks later, a power cord arrived... The power cord was sent back, but they still had not sent the right modem cord, and, to boot, the minute I turned on the computer, the screen started to flicker. Clearly, nothing had been done.

I called again, told them that I was under a deadline (grad school applications) and was *very* upset because it had already been a month since my original send-date! They finally (after three or four calls, in which they refused to give me the name of the president of the company) gave me their UPS account number. I sent the computer via UPS overnight mail. They, on the other hand, sent it back GROUND delivery, and when it got back, there was no original packing material (hadnt been from the time I first got it back) and the wrong modem cord.

Im fed up with this company, and recommend that NO ONE, EVER, buy a computer from this company! They have awful customer service, and couldnt care less about their customers once the bills have been paid.

AVOID THEM and save yourself the trouble Ive had!! Note: Four months later, after many complaints, I am still modem-cord less, without original packing material, and promising myself never to buy another computer from ARM.
