ARS Rescue Rooter This company quoted me a price over $1,000 to repair and stated a list of repairs, I got another company and it cost me less than $100 to repair. Austin, Texas
My air conditioner quit cooling. I called ARS they came out and said I had a couple of capacitors blown, that I was low on freon - 3 lbs. It needed a compressor cap, motor start kit, electronic leak search, the man stated not to repair the system that it all needed to replaced immediately. I told them no that I wanted a 2nd opinion. I got a 2nd opinion and there was only 1 capacitor blown that cost $50.00 to replace, freon was checked and was at full capacity, did not need any freon. My unit was fixed in 20 minutes and has been working perfectly since then. This was definitely a total ripoff if I had fallen for it.
