I have been searching day & night. For proof that Ashley Furniture has & had decived there customers for a long time.I went to Ashleys Store looking for reclening sofa, love set, & chair. The sales women Connie asured me that the furniture I was looking at .Was 100% leather.Wear ever the body touches & the rest vinal.I looked for my furniture on the net just to see what information was on it. Finally I got proof that I need That the owner and Connie had lied to me and many other customers!! My furniture # are 44911-88,44911-86 44911-25 In August of 2006. I was sent a registered letter from the former owner of Ashley in Turnisville . That my furniture was Leather Match 100% leather everywhere you touch As stated in all Ashley literature & catalog's.Well Gleen Goldberg What the ad for my sofa is for4491188 Dover Natural Reclening sofa.At the very bottom were it says back stating it is LeatherMatch upholstery features top grain leather in the seating areas with vinal everywear else.! I found a Law for Consumers protection statutes is General business pratice Law 349 [GBL 349 ] which prohibits deceptive and misleading business pratice .If any Lawyers out there wonts to represent me just email me Any one else that wonts to join me Loraine

Those little tags will list the stuffing & also the cover. Did you read any product descriptions included in your bill of sale carefully? Sometimes ''leather in seating areas'' or ''leather match'' will appear. Sometimes pigment-finished (as opposed to analine-dyed, i.e. semitransparent finished) leathers can have what almost amounts to a painted surface, which can peel. This can occur after a damaged finish was ''repaired''. Leather-match means ''leather-appearing'' vinyl was used in non-seating areas while anywhere your body usually touches [when you are sitting in the chair or couch] is covered in real leather. Quality ''leather-appearing'' vinyl should not peel. It *may* crack after *many* years of contact with human skin because the natural oil on our skin, if not cleaned off promptly, will age & dry out the vinyl. I suggest that if you really prefer leather furniture, and given that quality leather furniture, if properly cared for ( a really BIG IF ), will last a lifetime, then I suggest that you google ''leather furniture'' and start reading. There are firms that will build quality leather furniture for you (you pick the leather, the color, the furniture style, etc.) and the piece is built for you. Figure $2500 for a couch. Most class-action lawsuits only generate a lot of money for the few (read: lawyers) and a tiny token amount of money for the many (like you).
