My wife purchased a new living room set with end tables and paid in cash on February 25th. We just received our delivery dates today March 15, 2021.
End Tables May 8th
Oversized Leather Electric Recliner May 8th
Oversized Leather Electric Reliner Love Seat June 30th
It's very clear why they choose to be dishonest by not letting us know the dates before we ordered. We certainly would have taken our business somewhere else. This store is own by others in northern Kentucky. Apparently they like to back order as much as they can. You want to make customer happy? Let them know before they buy. But if you want to ruin good customers for life, just keep doing business as usual.

Update and clarification. My wife first tried a Dayton Ashley Furniture and the delivery date was end of June. When she visited Ashley in Mason she was told there would be no problems and just call when you want delivery. We were having new living room floors installed. When my wife called for delivery she was given the end of June date. Within a few days, Ashley called my wife back and said they could make delivery of all furniture on March 30th. On March 30th they left my wife a voice message that the end table was damaged and won’t be delivered until April 12th.
OK but why wasn’t the other furniture delivered March 30th? My wife called Ashley back and after listening to elevator music for 1 hour, she tried again and someone answered in 20 minutes, who then transferred the call. We wanted to know why our furniture minus the end table, was not delivered. They told my wife they would look into it and call her back. I suppose we should have asked for a call back date because they missed the next day. Most likely more to come.

It's pretty simple. Why does Ashley Furniture in Mason choose to not let customers know delivery date before the sale? How many sales would they lose if customers needed to wait 4 months for delivery?
Why did Ashley Furniture chose to not give dates after the sale and before the customer left? How many customers would cancel their orders on the spot?
Other Ashley Furniture stores let customers know delivery dates before and after sale as good business practice. If they knew delivery dates were impacted by 4 months, caused by issues with ships and ports, they would let the customer know.
Sadly, Ashley Furniture in Mason knew of the delay and chose to say nothing. And now, rightfully join the other 500+ Ashley Furniture reports on this site.

If the delivery date was so much of a concern for you why did it take you over 2 weeks to ask about delivery? Perhaps a better question, why didn't you ask about the delivery dates before you bought the items?
