Assured Auto Works is a criminal conspiracy to commit the fraud. While we all rely on a vehicle, most of us do not have the skills and expertise to make the necessary repairs on our car or to know when we are being defrauded by a mechanic. While I believe most of auto mechanics are reputable but Assured Auto Works, have demonstrated the worst service including 1. Vehicle vandalism occurring in at the repair shop, 2. Highly aggressive, abusive, dishonest mechanic/owner, 3. Negligent and deceptive business, practices, 4. Breach of a written or verbal contract, 5.  The estimate was not provided.

On Monday 7th July I called Assured Auto Works to book my KIA Rio 2002 for repair/replacement of the clutch. An hour or two later the girl (Sara) has called back and I was told they were fully booked, and she has scheduled an appointment only for next Monday 14th July at 7:30 am. She has mentioned the price of $515.00 for repair/replacement. I agreed to pay. Then I have parked my car on the driveway right in front of my door and never have driven it during this week.

On Monday 14th July at 7:30 am. I delivered the vehicle to the workshop for repairs. The mechanic asked me for the key. I answered that would like to see the estimated. He said the girl will be late and the estimation will be then. He took the key and left the office. About ten minutes later he came out of the working area and said that the car will be ready at the end of the day and I do not have to stay here. If anything comes out he will telephone me. Well, it was about 8:00 am.

About two hours later the phone is ringing. The mechanic on the phone saying that a transmission is leaking and I have to replace it. I felt like I was getting ripped off, but still asked him how much will be all things. He replied that the tag will be much over $1000. 00. As I have mentioned before "I have parked my car on the driveway right in front of my door" I went out the door to take a look. The driveway was clean without a single drop of an oil. I asked the mechanic to stop even touching the car, until I come back.

I took a few pictures of the driveway and call a cab to go back to Auto Works. When I have been there with photo camera in my hands the mechanic has blocked my way. He was yelling that I have no right be in working area. I wanted to see the oil leak, that he was talking about making a few pictures of it, but he calls the police asking to restrict me, as he said, trespassing. The excuse of it was that the safety rules. In a few the police officer has asked me to be in the office until I get my car.

However, I was able to take a few photos. They will be attached to this Consumer Compliant Form with detailed explanation. The bill I had to pay to buy out my car from the hands of these criminals was $157.00 and a receipt was given to me without describing what I was paying for. I asked them 3 or 4 times to include detailed descriptions for the job. All service was so shocking appalling and outrageous that it was really looking like highway robbery and blackmail.

Boris Ludeev (he introduced himself to us under a different name) was a first time customer. He called on the week of July 7th for an estimate to replace his clutch disc. Mr. Ludeev was hard to understand and was a little short on the phone but we called  him back with the estimate and he scheduled an appointment to replace the clutch disc for July 14th . He dropped his car off first thing in the morning on July 14th  and was informed  his car would ready by the end of the day and we would call him if anything comes up.

During the service I noticed the under side of the car was wet with transmission fluid, the shop floor had a small puddle under it and there was some rubber that had deteriorated from the fluid leak over time. Upon further examination we found that the case/housing of the transmission  itself was leaking and his transmission would need to be replaced. I called Mr. Ludeev within two hours of him dropping the car off to give him the news. He asked me to provide an estimate to replace the transmission and clutch. When I called with the estimate for a used transmission and new clutch (Approximately $1100.00/ more than reasonable)  he said that he could not afford this, that he would have to take his vehicle as is and told me to reassemble the car.

I told him that would not be a problem but there was a balance that would have to be paid for our time spent partially dissembling and reassembling the car. At this point, he threatened to sue. He said that the car had spent an entire week in his driveway and the driveway was dry. I told him that this didn't make sense to me because the under side of the car was very wet and had been for awhile, to the point that the transmission support and shift bushings were deteriorated from the oil leaking onto them.

Mr. Ludeev arrive at our shop about an hour after our conversation. I met him in the parking lot and walked him into the shop to show him the wetness under the car, the crack in the transmission, the puddle on the floor and the deteriorated bushings. I explained the residual oil under the car did not just happen and asked him what he wanted me to do. I also explained that I refuse to do business dishonestly and I felt that we had a reputation for being really good guys for a reason. He said that he wanted me to replace the clutch and the bushing.

I told him that we would be glad to do this but he needed to sign paperwork stating that he understood that the transmission would continue to leak, that he would have to pay the entire bill up front and that the bushings would have to be ordered and would probably not be available the same day. He told me that he wasn't going to pay anything and that if I wanted a good life that I would fix his car for free. This is when I realized that he was not to be trusted and I asked him to leave my shop. He started taking pictures of his car, my shop and my face so I called the police department to assist me.

When the officer arrived he told Mr. Ludeev that based on the age and condition of the car that he was not surprised that it would need more work than anticipated and that he would have to pay our bill before he received his car. He did pay and receive a copy of the bill with details of our exchange, throughout the entire process  he was belligerent, to the point that the officer gave him a trespassing warrant. Mr. Ludeev is no longer legally allowed on the premises.

Although I know that we have not done any thing wrong, this whole thing does upset me. It is discouraging to see someone like this try to ruin my reputation and I believe he is doing so because he was hoping to pin something on me and could not get away with it.
