 After paying $ 9-11 a month for two years for insurance on an I6 phone Assurion refused to pay a damage claim because Verizon's records of the phones activation were not accurate despite Verizon's assuring them in two thirty minute phone calls that the phone was in fact in use since its purchase in 2014.Verizon is doing the right thing and providing a new phone($200 deductible) as Assurion should.After paying over $600 in premiums for three phones over the last couple of years Assurion is a bad bet.Better to buy your own phones as pay for them multiple times and they don't take Verizon's information if it happens to be in error.
