I felt so dumb after googleing this company's name and finding SOOO many reports on fraud or a scam or something like, "and its been 6 months later with no magazines! I want my money back!"
Im glad I did though, because as of right now my check isn't cashed and I already called my bank to put a hold on my check. It sucks because NOW I have to get a new checking account number along with new debit card and checks.
This is my story:
I was sitting on the couch just watching TV when I heard a knock. I almost did'nt answer it but a day before I had gotten a notification on my door of an inspection they were gonna do around the apartment complex, so I looked through my peep hole and it was two young guys and thought just maybe it was whoever was doing the inspection. I opened the door and one of the guys explained to me that he was (he talked so fast I had to keep asking, "wait, what?") working on his communication skills and that the more strangers he coming in contact with he earns more points, that followed up with the magazines. He asked to come in to write this down. I can't believe I let him in and his friend, I guess I was feeling really friendly that day. He then proceeded to tell about how he want to go to school in his home state and that this would be a contrabution to it. I just wanted the mag's, I really could care less about his school or whatever. He was really flirty, which made it really uncomfortable. Basically, end of story I wrote a check for 89 dollars, no cents. He had a sticker put on my door, just because he said this will help other ones in the same sale to not bother me again.
I feel disgusted. His name is Chip Crosby, if that helps anyone. Maybe he came to you. What I'm really afraid of is that they wont come back and break in. This leaves me with absolutley no trust in sales people like this. Im young, so Im learning, thats probably something they used against me, though he was only 2 years older. That might have been a lie too.
Hopefully I get my money back tomorrow morning, and Im gonna go around my complex to see if anyone else got hit up. Sorry to all those who lost their money, what dirty b*st*rds!
