There was a charg for 29.90 on my mother credit card and we called the card company and asked them what it was because we didn't purchase any shareware or whatever they claim to sell. When you try to go to the web address WWW.cardquery.com they want you to enter your credit card number to identify you and that right there is not at all right'. My mother is 69 years old. Its hard to tell how many people they have done this to. The credit card company dredited her account but these idiots need brought down!

We do not require people to enter their complete credit card number at www.cardquery.com, we require them to enter a part of it. As by definition we already must have their card number as it appears on their card statement it makes no sense to balk at entering the part number to see what was purchased. This person also needs to remember that if it really was a theft of the card details then it is we who are the victims not his mother who gets reimbursed. We (or more technically our vendor) are the ones who have had the theft against us and often due to the carelessness of the card holder.
