Atlantic Tire RIPOFF Scam to get your money! Morrisville North Carolina
Recently I was experiencing car trouble and badly needed to replace brakes, rotars, and and a couple of tires. When it became a problem of it being a safety issue I went to the closest repair shop I could find. Mainly because I was afraid my brakes would give out completely on the beltline to drive to the next town.
I wheeled in to Atlantic Tire explaining the car repair I wanted, also letting them know in advance I was only able to and willing to pay for what was necessary to get my car back on the road safely. They took 90 mins to evaluate the situation. Returning to me with an estimate of $3096.00. Not being knowledgeable enough to know the appropriate cost of these repairs, but knowledgeable enough to be able to go to any Used Car lot and buy a car with new brakes, tires, etc for half that price...
I requested my keys and drove into the next town, 15 miles to a local repair shop I was recommended to. I took my car in and asked the same questions, not informing them of my morning experience. The total repair bill was $642.00. I had the repairs completed then showed them the previous estimate. They pointed out that several of the things that Atlantic Tire stated was wrong with my car were not an issue!
