I have been a customer of AT&T callvantage service since 2004. After I moved from VA to FL on Aug. 2005, I had to change my phone number to FL local number. All I wanted was just changing number but AT&T created another account instead of changing number and billed me double charge until now. When I saw the bill, I thought previous number means just another name for my account with AT&T. I never though or doubt that they kept the old one because there was the 911 regulation which those VOIP number has to be confirmed there actual address and unless the confirmation the service can not be provided. I knew that because by the time of Oct. 2005 I had to move again in the city of Orlando and when I called in AT&T they requested changing of number again for that 911 regulation. That's why I never doubt the existence of old account since I never used that number or confirmed it either. But, somehow AT&T kept that account alive for more than two years and has kept charging me double and when I called for the cancelation and the refund of two's of charge, they refused to do that and only offerred three months of credit, which I can't accept. AT&T dumped all the responsibility and fault on me and refused to pay me back.

Isn't this ridiculous to hear that or not?
