Received bill from local carrier (QWEST), that included $156.89 long distance service charges from ATT. No long distance calls were ever made from my phone but I got the usual "Nothing we can do, calls show direct dialed". Too bad so sad.

Went through two loser reps, Ryan and Karen, Karen was supposed to tranfer me to their "Fraud" Dept. Got the usual disconnect. Had already spent 2 hours on the phone with these idiots. Almost impossible to get through to a rep using the 800-222-0300. If you say "customer service rep" enough times while the recorded voice is trying to direct you to nowhere, you can get through. It takes an act of god, but try it anyway.

Nothing in the Voice response menu can handle a problem when the problem is the whole bill! Somehow, apparently through my fax capabilities on my PC, a hacker was able to access and obtain a dial tone for outbound calls to a litany of phone numbers. Of course I will never pay these charges.

When you go to ATT.com, it's pretty much set up for buying, not for complaint resolution. They don't give a crap. ATT should be mandated to bill direct, and not through the local carrier, possibly jeopardizing local phone service.
