I hired Patricia Plotkin for a misdemeanor case expungement. She took my money in August of 2000 and said that it was a routine expungment that would be simple to accomplish. She explained that I would not need to appear in court and that she would make any appearances if necessary. 4 months later, I called her and she explained that she was rather embarrassed to admit that she had forgotten to file the papers. When I asked her to go ahead and file them she explained that the Ohio legislature had passed a law that forbade the expungement of domestic violence convictions. She went on to explain that this law (which is completely unconstitutional) was ex-post facto, meaning it applied to convictions prior to the enactment of the new law. Ex post facto laws are generally frowned upon because if it is possible to write ex post factolaws, there is no way of knowing whether one's actions are legal or illegal. The n**i's and the Communist used Ex post facto laws to strip people of their rights and belongings.

I filed a complaint with the Ohio Supreme Court (the body that polices lawyers in Ohio). I never received a response to my complaint. The end result is this: I lost all gun ownership rights. I am prevented from working in various professions and I have a criminal record that appears for life.

Now, it's worth noting that a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction in the state of Ohio does NOT indicate that a person is, was or ever has been violent. The law is written in such a way that a person can be charged for simply raising their voice while having a discussion.

The point of the law is to limit gun ownership of the citizenry and every judge in Ohio is aware of this. It is a legal methodolgy used to mitigate the Second Amendment right to own and bear arms. Pat Plotkin is on record as saying that the Second Amendment needs to be eliminated.

Due to Pat Plotkin's political activities in the 1970's and 1980's in northeast Ohio, she remains connected to powerful people in government. That means she is unlikely to face any consequences for her legal mal-practice.

That is why I encourage anyone that is facing the prospec of a criminal or civil complaint to find another lawyer. Do not allow Patricia Hess Plotkin to act as your advocate unless you are prepared to face a lawyer who is lazy, inept, incompetent or worse...just doesn't want you to prevail.

I encourage you to read the other ripoffreports on Patricia Hess Plotkin. This lawyer cannot be trusted!
