Audiovox The company will not stand behind product. Hauppauge New York
I received a satellite radio as a gift. This was purchased with a 2 yr. warranty with Circuit City, which was a good thing because the satellite hook up came undone 3 times before Circuit City closed and has come unhooked again. I now have XM service I'm paying for but no satellite radio.
I was told by the installation technician that there was a design flaw and my radio would probably keep coming unhooked. I contacted Audiovox and was told that unless I could show records within the last year from Circuit City I was out of luck. I do not have a copy as they didn't give me one and they are GONE. So Audiovox made a defectively designed product that they will not stand behind. According to them they only cover items for 1 year. So if you purchase their product don't expect a long life with the product. Just consider yourself making a temporary purchase, because you will need to replace the item.
What happened to pride in craftmanship and making sure the customer was happy? I guess they feel it is more important to seek out new customers rather than have repeat customers. Please do not waste your money on this, because it will cost you money to have the radio removed and the part replaced.
