Cool Springs is a well establised suburb outside of Nashville, TN. The Auntie Anne's in the mall of Cool Springs Galleria isn't a bad place to work or anything, I wouldnt write things just to put them (the business) down because the people are somewhat decent its just the fact that I was let go today for a reason I can only assume, the race issue. I was the only black male working at that location, the owner or owners have another location about 20-30 mins. from this location in a more diverse mall, 2-3 african american males work there. They have already transfered one girl over from the diverse mall to the Cool Springs location because the diverse mall is somewhat shutting down, but yet they havent brought any african american males over. I received a text message, nota phone call but a text from my 20 yr. old manager that I was to be let go due to me working with another , and person of opposite race and sex sending information to coporate earlier on the register and me being only 2 weeks into the business didnt want to give stuff away from free and didnt want to offset the numbers for the day so I made the decision to shut down 10 mins. earlier, and yes I got fired for I guess closing early just because I didnt want the company to lose money or have number troubles. Yet I got fired but thr young lady whom I was working with was not let go even though she was the one fooling around and sent the information off to coporate. I can only assume it was because the needed a token there (me) for a while and let me go as soon as they filled their quota.

""I got cut loose because I closed early, because I didnt want to mess up the numbers that were already sent in to the head office, as to staying open and giving away stuff for free, I didnt know if I could still ring up items or not because the system wouldnt allow me to get back in so thats why I closed 10 minutes and I stress 10 MINS. earlier." You were fired for this exact reason. It had nothing to do with whatever race you are. Having worked many years in managment, if an employee of mine had done that and I had no idea how to fix the register I would have called my supervisor. If you are a shift manager, then I'm sure you had someone above you that you could call and inform them of the situation. Instead, you made the decision to just close the store and go home. Had you notified your manager and attempted to fix the situation you might still have a job.

The OP states that he worked at a shop in a mall. Years ago, if we closed down early, the mall would fine the company by the minute, for shutting down early.

No where in your Original Post did you state you were a manager, as that clears up a lot of questions. You stated in both the OP and the Update that you wanted to close down the store early to save the company money. If that was the case why were you so concerned about her hitting the button on the register too soon. Other than proving to corporate the time you closed the registers, why would that matter. Perhaps you really didn't have the authority to close down the store early. She may have been the one who made the actual "mistake", but she did it on YOUR direction. Because you had started to close early. Race had nothing to do with it. You were fired because you were a manager, she was an employee, and you admit that you were doing something that turns out was probably against company policy. Had the roles been reversed, she would have been the one who was fired. Had you really wanted to save the company money, you could have let her go home early, make less product and closed on your own. That is what a lot of managers and owners of companies do when business is slow. One other thing, you also said that the person was "opposite race and sex". This is really enlightning because I didn't know that there were "opposite" races. This comment alone makes it seem as if there was any racisim it is by you.

Well if you can read, what it states is the girl was 16 and was messing around, and yes me being in charge (shift manager) , I had a decision to make, either close down the store or give suff away for free, the girl didnt do her job, she didnt report anything to management, where did you even read where I stated that, she hit a button on the register that wasn't supposed to be hit until late closing by me, you need to know what you are reading if you are going to try and respond to something. I got cut loose because I closed early, because I didnt want to mess up the numbers that were already sent in to the head office, as to staying open and giving away stuff for free, I didnt know if I could still ring up items or not because the system wouldnt allow me to get back in so thats why I closed 10 minutes and I stress 10 MINS. earlier.

Not a race issue

You nailed it on the head. You were fired for closing the business early. Were you management? Was this your decision to make? The other girl did her job and notifed management about what you had done. Of course she didn't get fired, she is the one that took what you did to management. next time you have a job, just do what you are told by your supervisor. Even if another way makes more sense to you.
