Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My experience with Auto Action start in June 2011. I went to them because they advertised $499 down and no credit check. My credit was less than perfect and I needed a vehicle. When I got to the dealership I told them what kind of car I was interested in and how much of a down payment that I had. After walking around the lot at 19th Ave and Broadway, the sales person said that we would drive over to the other lot at 19th Ave and Van Buren since I wasn't able to find anything there. We got in one of the cars they had for sale and headed over to the other lot. I told the sales person that the car was low on gas but he said it would make it. About halfway there the car runs out of gas... so we are stranded in the summer heat and the sales person calls both car lots to bring him gas but both claim that they don't have any. After he spends 15-20 minutes arguing on the phone someone shows of from the van buren lot but still did not have gas. They used the car they were driving (which I am sure they turned around and sold) to push us to the lot.

We get to the lot and I pick out a Buick Rendevous. I liked the car but expressed concern because there was little gas in it also which limited the ability to test drive the car. We take it back to the other lot to work up the paperwork. When we got back I went to the manager and told him I would like them to put gas in the car so I could take it for a better test drive. At first no one wanted to do it claiming they didn't have any gas. Once it seemed I was not going to let up finally he gave the sales guy a few dollars to put gas in the car and we headed to the gas station (which is just directly across the street). We get to the gas station and he goes in to pay. The car start overheating. So we took the car back across the street and never got to do the second test drive. They claimed it was not big deal and most likely just a hose. They tried to get me to leave my down payment of $500.00 under the agreement that the car would be fixed the following day. I didn't feel comfortable with this but did agree to leave part of my down payment to secure the car once it was repaired.

I called the following day and was told the car wasn't ready because they also wanted to do a tune-up but that it would be ready the next day. The following afternoon I called to tell them I was on my way but was told the car still wasn't ready. I told them that I couldn't afford to keep waiting and that I was going to go elsewhere. The guy called back a few minutes later and said the car was ready. So I headed down to pick it up and about half way there I got another called saying the car wasn't ready. At this point I was sick and tired of dealing with it and went to the dealership to get my money. When I got there the just kept apologizing and saying they didn't know what was going on at the service location or what the deal was with the car but they were willing to find me a different car. We headed back over to the other lot where we found another Rendevous, which I didn't like as well as the first, but was willing to purchase. During the drive back to sign the paperwork, the air conditioning goes completely out. I was furious and the sales person could tell it.  We turned around to take yet another car back. Finally we picked out a Suburban and all went well during the test drive to the other lot. I sat for hours while they got all the paperwork done and at approximately 10pm after the lot had closed I headed home with my new car. I lived approximately ten minutes from the lot, but the check engine light came on before I made it home and the driver side window stopped working. When I talked to the dealership a day or so later their response was to take the car to Auto Zone and they would diagnose it for free. I did take it to Auto Zone and they confirmed the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I did not make a fuss at this time because I understood that I purchases a used car.

Two months into driving the car the transmission starting showing signs of slippage and by month 3 was barely driveable. I took the car to AAMCO who confirmed the transmission needed to be replaced/rebuilt and I was quoted $1800.00. I took the car immediately the Auto Actions service center and advised them of the issues. They said they would take a look at it. I made an appointment and brought the car in. I was told by the service center manager that he would call me by the end of the day. No one ever called so I went back up there and my car was gone. The service center manager wouldn't tell me where the car was but said it was being towed and that I needed a new transmission and catalytic converter. I told him since I only had the car a few months and was paying $460 a month that I expected help with the transmission repair. He said it would cost them $1250.00 and that he would match $500.00, but part of my supposed warranty stated that as long I was making payments that parts would be at their cost and free labor. I got several quotes for a transmission minus labor and none of them came to $1250.00. Plus they were only willing to provide a warranty for 30 days. I told them I found someone who would fix it for $950.00 total with a 1 year warranty and asked that they pay half (which is actually less then $500). They refused. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and they lied stating that 2 days after I bought the car that they serviced my check engine light for free. This never happened. I have continued paying my car payment for two months and yet my car will not move from my driveway.

This company is full of liars, crooks, and junk cars. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!
