Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I received a call from Auto Processing Dept Vehicle Protection Center today and determined that she was pitching me for an extended warranty for an automobile.  She proceeded to tell me that her company was authorized by the manufacturer to offer extended warranties and do the repairs.  I was suspicious because I am actually an automobile dealer and did not appreciate her deceit and misleading lines.  As a matter of fact, I have not had a car in my personal name for over 20 years because I drive a company vehicle.

I proceeded to ask her a few more simple questions, like "what is the name of your company again?"  It was so long and she was talking fast, I did not fully understand the company name the first time.  When I questioned her about the name of her company, I kid you not, she said "you are not interested in an extended warranty, thank you and good bye."  She hung up on me, I was shocked!!

I typically do not write reviews like this but I have had a lot of my own clients go thru this and complained to me personally about the high pressure calls they have received.  Now I know how my own clients feel.  Given the information that is out there regarding scammers, I highly recommend you steer clear of these predators.  Getting companies like these to pay claims is impossible so your stuck with the repair costs.  My auto dealership does sell extended warranties backed by AA rated companies who pay claims. I see the claims sheets on a quartly basis and they take care of items that you would expect to be taken care of on your vehicle.

I highly recommend that you purchase a warranty from the dealership that sold you the vehicle, especially if they represent a manufacturer.  We have high standards required by our manufacturer and we also have very large investments in brick and motor facilities so we cannot close up shop overnight, these call centers can extract thousands of dollars from unsuspecting car owners, lock the doors and disappear from their office building suite overnight.

Get a fair price for a warranty, from your dealer, who is going to do the repairs anyway and then you’re properly protected.  I had to speak my mind on this one, hard to believe these types of companies exist.
