Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

In 2009 I purchased a 2000 Pontiac grand am from AAF in Van Buren, Arkansas. I was young, 20 years old with a baby and I had no credit. Beggars can't be choosers so I did the buy here pay here thing because it was my only option. I had the car for a couple of weeks before I had any problems. Then the speedometer quit working, then the recline/adjust for the seats (electronic), then the windows stopped working, then the radio, then the wipers. And so on and so forth. Basically, everything electronic went out. I purchased the additional warranty coverage so I called hoping for the car to be repaired. They refused to even look at it because electrical wasn't covered by the warranty (which cost me almost an additional $100 per payment). I made one more payment and told them if they weren't going to fix it then I didn't want it and they could come get it.

It stayed parked in the yard for months because they refused to come collect it. They finally came and got it and months later I received a letter saying it had been sold at auction and I was responsible for the remaining balance of $3,054. That was the last I heard from them. I moved several times and apparently they sued me and supposedly served me court papers but I never received anything because everything was mailed to an address I no longer lived at. Now, 8 years later, I get a writ of garnishment delivered to my aunt's house (my old address) pretty much saying they ruled against me and now they're gonna garnish my check. And they added almost $2,000 in interest. Thankfully, the attorney general of arkansas has a lawsuit against them for the exact thing they are doing to me. Over 2000 people have reported the same thing. Bottom line is the companies are crooked as h***l. Don't ever buy a car from them. I just want to spread the word and hopefully destroy they're reputation.
