I have read all other complaints regarding this company and i wanted to add mine too. The owner guy, Greg, John, Frank, he goes by so many names (i guess to protect himself) is rude, arrogant and always hangs up the phone. I called to help my in-laws retrieve a refund of $1000.00. He immidiatly gets on the phone and starts abusing me and telling me that i am threatining his employees and place of employment (i never said anything threating to anyone) i simply stated that i wanted to inform him of my next steps which were to pursue legal action and to report him to the BBB in NY and MA as well as to the Attorney General's office in NY and MA.

It all started when they charged for administrative fees and cancelation fees which we should not have got charged for as we canceled before the timeline. This John, Greg, or Frank (he is the owner anyway) has given me the run around, and will not talk to me and tries to be very intimindating. I will file small claims but i also am on a mission to maybe see who would be interested in filing a joint complaint so these people will wake up and smell the coffee. I need people to come together. If anyone is interested if you could post back to me as a rebute or something we could possibly work together. I am going to talk to my lawyer friend and see what happens. The owner guy is very shifty, i told him that my phone calls to him were recorded and he then fliped the coin and said that i was threating him and such which i did not, i am so polite to him even in his rudeness.

I have even read in other complaints that he has said the same thing. Please help... anyone who has won with these guys please let me know how because my in-laws who are old and don't speak english were taken advantage of and i don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Please excuse all spelling errors.

NO-HASSLE WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, January 05, 2005

I had filed a rip-off report about Autotrail back in October. Needless to say, I didn't wait around for Autotrail to refund my money and let interest charges build on my credit card. REFUTE THE CHARGE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY! I filled out a form explaining EVERYTHING that had happened with these jerks at Autotrail and gave let them know that they could go online and read numerous similar stories. The credit card company immediate issued a conditional credit to my account and credited any interest that had already accrued on those amounts. Within two months the situation was entirely resolved. I got every penny of my $880 credited. They took it back from Autotrail. So, I didn't have to deal with that moron Greg or any of his underlings. No-muss, no-fuss!

contact newspapers and media, fed up with their excuses

I arranged for my car to be pick up back in June. A week passed by after the arranged pick up date. I was already fed up with their excuses so I told my wife to call and cancel so we would get our refund. When my wife call the insulted her and told her off. I called them back to talk about the issue and once again they were very rude and gave me the run around. Im in the military so I proceeded to write a very formal email to send to the owner. In the email I wrote how I was in the military and that I had already contacted legal military officials on base and that they were aware of the situation and that If I didnt receive my refund that I would not hesitate to take legal actions against them specially with the record they have with the BBB already. I also explained to him that the reason that I was shipping the car was because I was deploying to Irak in a month and my wife was going to move back with her family while I was gone. I also mentioned that the media would surely like to hear about a company that rips off service members as they are about to deploy. What this company does is push people to the limit and then wait to see if youre really going to do something. Im my email I clearly explained what I expected and the course of actions I was willing take to get my money back. After this email I got a full refund within a week.

Keenya, call the police and report it stolen

Please, call the police and report it stolen. There is absolutely no reason for it to take over three weeks for your vehicle to get to where you are unless it was comming from Alaska or Hawaii. Here is what happens with companies who don't pay their subhaulers, like Autotrail Transporters. The subhauler picks up another vehicle for them and holds it hostage and demands that Autotrail pay up or they won't release their customer's vehicle. Only, Autotrail doesn't care if you ever get your vehicle because they already have you money. Try not to get too mad at the subhauler because it is well within their rights to hold that vehicle for I believe 45 days. We have 45 days in which to deliver the vehicle. What you need to do is find out if you don't already know who actually has you vehicle on their truck, because Autotrail doesn't own any trucks they only broker vehciles out to other subhaulers. Then call and plead with the subhauler to get your vehicle to you and to look on this web site and tell them that they need to take it up with central dispatch. Central dispatch will then call Greg at Autotrail and demand payment for them. They need to give you your vehicle back with in 45 days or you can report it stolen, but it doesn't hurt to file a complaint with your local police department if you can't find out who actually possesses your vehicle. Maybe the police can get the information out of Autotrail with a simple phone call. I hope that everthing turns out ok with you and let us know if you get your vehicle back.

Anyone who wants to take legal action, file complaints , run them out of business. Please let me know. I am still waiting to get my car from October 28th, 2004. There is no recourse from this company and they are rude and unprofessional.

I wish the both of you good luck with this company. We recieved our payment so unless the check bounces, we have no more claims with this company. If the check bounces you will hear about it because there will be criminal charges filed against Greg and any other execs. With the new system we will know if it did by Monday at the latest. I really want to know if my information was helpful to you all, and if you are able to recover you damages. Be advised, you will need a copy of any agreement you might have had with this company when filing your claim with their bonding company. They will need proof of what they agreed to haul your car for and the amount they owe you. Call the bonding company and they will tell you exactly what they need. Also, another thing that I could suggest, is that you might want to inform the local police deparment both your local department but the department where this company is located. There is a Federal law that holds corp. execs. accountable for their company's illegal activities. Just a thought. Good luck, and keep us informed.

We hauled a car for them, and when I called to find out where our very over due payment was Greg got on the phone can called me everything but "white". Every other word out of his mouth was the "F" word, and some other choice words for woman were thrown out too. We finally got our money but only after threatening to tell everyone in our industry never to haul for them. Well, Greg you pissed off the wrong person, and called me some things that you never should have. I have read the complaints about this company on various sites and this is the way they work. They get you to book your vehicle with them by promising you the world. Then when you are suckered into giving them your account information, they immediately charge the account for the full amount. Then they sit on the vehicle for so long that you call upset, and Greg gets on the phone and curses at you, accuses you of threatening his employees, and then says, "Since you aren't happy with us I will cancel for you". Then because you don't want to pay the cancellation fee $250-$350 you say no, but he does anyway. When you call back to find out when you will receive your refund you are met again with Greg or whoever he happens to be that day, and are cursed at and are told that you will never receive the money back. He is a total a*****e and a bully. FIRST thing you can do is get on-line with www.centraldispatch.com and contact them and file a complaint about their rude and fraudulent business practices. Call Greg and tell him that you know to complain to central dispatch and that you will make sure that he can never post another load on there if he doesn't refund your money, then tell him that you want it wired to you or overnight mailed to you in the form of a cashiers check. Central Dispatch is the web site where they post their loads, and without it they would go out of business, and believe me they know exactly who he is and what he does because my husband inquired about complaining but then we didn't because we got the payment. SECOND, complain to the BBB but they cannot do anything about it. Then complaint to the DOT and the NY attorney general's office. The DOT frowns on those trucking companies who defraud their customers, and swear at them. Then when you are all done with that call their bonding company and file a claim with them. Look at my other posting and it gives you their bonding companies name and their policy number. If for some reason you can't find it, go to www.safersys.org and look up their name and you can get it any time. I warn you it could take months to get your money from the bonding company, but that's what they are there for. If none of that works, sue them and their bonding company to get your money. I'm sure your lawyer friend will tell you that if you follow the right steps, you should be able to recover your damages. The more people who stick up for themselves and sue this company the faster their attitude will change or they will be no more. I personally cannot help you but with the information I have provided, which is of public record, I hope you can get your in-law's money back soon. One final thought, please don't assume that all auto hauling companies and brokers are this way. Ours is honest, and we rely a lot on our reputation. In fact, there are more of us good companies out there than there are bad ones.
