I bought the AVION 32" TV from Shop NBC two years ago. The TV needs an AC adapter. The one which came with the TV was defective. I called Shop NBC and received the adapter months later after multiple calls. The TV seemed to be working fine until yesterday when I turned it on and learned that it now has NO SOUND.

After having two COMCAST technicians here, it has been determined that it is the TV. Called the number SHOP NBC gave me for tech help (It is the PROTRON center). They could not help, and we exhausted all suggestions. They then informed me that the TV was not under warranty and could no longer help me. Told me to contact a local service center and have it fixed.

Called two local centers who informed me that they do not work on this TV brand. Called Shop NBC again and they have no recommendations. They will try to call VISCOM TECHNOLOGIES to see if there are any service centers for their product around my area (Boston). This will take several weeks I was informed. In the meantime, we have no TV.

Future consumers: BEWARE! Do not buy anything from Shop NBC or VISCOM TECHNOLOGIES. Should it not work, you will be stuck with the product with no recourse. I paid a lot of money for this LCD tv, and now I will have to go and buy another one from a reputable service which offers service for their products.
