I started my adventure with UOP on campus until I went on maternity leave. Everything was great at first.

Upon my return, I was limited to time and funds so I decided to join the E-Campus. My first 3 weeks of school, I was repeating classes I had already taken on campus. It took the accounting dept about 3 weeks to adjust my bill, after harrassing me constantly about getting paid.

THEN, I started a class (my last class with the college) and had a terrible time with the instructor. She was not responding to my questions, her assignments did not match the syllabus (or her grading scale), and she accused me of plagiarising almost every assignment I turned in, even thought they were properly cited and referenced.

Needless to say, when I couldn't get an answer out of my instructor as to what I was doing wrong, I turned to my counselor. She informed me that it was my fault, and that it was not the instructors responsibilty to "teach". Go figure. There were 13 out of 15 students failing the class by this time.

After a few weeks of wasting my time, I was told by another student to "auto-drop". So, I stopped posting in my class for enough time (3 weeks of non-attendance) to "auto-drop" the class. The school still took all of their money, I received multiple threats regarding academic dishonesty and expulsion, and my counselor did nothing for me. I am at LEAST a B student. I do not deserve to be pushed around by any school, especially one who cannot explain their actions. My "instructor" couldn't even spell, but she sure did take off points for minor grammatical errors.

Regardless of what the counselor and instructor did or didn't do, the school never "auto-dropped" me. They took my money, gave me an F and have now affected my GPA to the point that I do not know if I am eligible for financial aid in the future, or if I can eve enroll in another school. My transcript has a scar on it, no thanks to anyone except the school.

I haven't decided what to do next. Obviously, I dropped out of the college. I don't have much free time to start a lawsuit at this point, but someone should. Maybe we can all get some of our money back.

RIP OFF!!! THEY ARE A DIPLOMA FACTORY!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I know almost exactly what you are talking about. The worst instructor so far is Gloria Green constantly claiming I did not say something in my assignments, and changing meanings and instructions different from the syllabus and materials. So I am about the transfer to another College before she ruins my GPA which is in the A to B range. I do not need them anyway.

The materials are written like they are for 4th grade students. If you disagree with an intructor's opinion even though such was not required for the assignment then she grades you lower on purpose.

I can't believe the complaints about the school..I've been attending for two years and have never had any problems. My instructors and counselors have all been really nice and helpful. I work at an elementary school and a lot of the teachers where I work are attending UOP online to get their masters....I've never heard them complain either. I'm not saying none of these things people have complained about could happen, but I don't think it's the school, I think its just a bad experience. Or maybe I just had a good experience. I'm not done w/ school yet, I'll be cautious. So far I love UOP!
