AY Transport And National Moving Network moving costs double the estimate, late delivery of things San Jose California
I was moving from Denver, CO to Holbrook, NY. I found National Moving Network on the internet. After looking up the cost of renting a truck and car trailer, I decided to give them a call. They were very polite and efficient on the phone and went through all my things room by room to give me a move estimate.
Their phone quote was $2279.00 which they said included taxes, fuel, and any tolls. I thought it was great compared to the $1850.00 for the truck and car trailer quote. So, I booked with them. That's when the trouble began.
AY Transport was the mover. They didn't come when they were supposed to pick up my things, the actual cost was almost double what the estimate was, and they were late delivering my things.
When I called customer service for status on the move, they never had an answer to my questions. I always had to call back.
Now, three weeks later I have a delivery date. It just so happens that on the date they gave, I have a job interview and cannot be here. I asked for options and they told me they would put my stuff in storage and re-deliver, but I would incur those charges.
