I worked for Jim & Kim Scarmozzino for a period of 2 months from the period of Mid July - Mid September 2008. My job position was that of a appointment setter. I would call people from different venues who were advertising their classic car, boat, auto, RV or etc, and ask them to place an ad with AZCARSANDTRUCKS.com.

Jim & Kim Scarmozzino never paid me on time. The first excuse they used was that they had to find out from their accountant was I a 1099 employee or was I a W2 employee. Everytime payday came around they would give a different excuse as to why they could not pay me or the other employee (Ted). They told me they were in Bankruptcy, they said their account had been attached for back child support, they said that they only had $800.00 and that they had to give that to their landlord or they would get evicted, every payday it was a different excuse. My bi-weekly salary was $831.00,and they could not even meet this. The final straw was when they finally paid me more than a week late of payday only to have the check bounce.

This so called service that they have is totally bogus. IT DOES NOT WORK, and no one never sales their auto by way of the site. Jim will tell potential customers that they will have global presence on the site but you get that on any web site because the internet is global. Jim shows potential customers that they will be in the top 10 search results on Google but this only happens by potential customers going to Google and typing in specific words (ex); 2001 Lexus Coupe For Sale By Owner and how many people actually to that.

This site is a total scam no one has ever heard of it and no one ever visits it.You are much better off trying to sell your vehicle thru different venues at less expense.

If you are someone that is considering AZCARSANDTRUCKS..COM email me first and I will give you the scoop.

Not eligible for re hire?

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

In response to Jim Scarmazzino's rebuttal I have to point out the following. (1) In all of his rhetoric, he never once mentions the fact that the site helps sell peoples cars... because it doesn't. I have spoken to over 15 people who are on the front page of the site. Not one...has received a phone call that was based from azcarsandtrucks.com. (2) The third party he spoke of filed a complaint with the labor board. Jim was happy with the outcome because the gentleman who filed the complaint did not show up. (3) This company has also failed to pay me despite the fact that 25% of their front page is covered in $200+ ads that I sold. Although my efforts have been acknowledged, Jim and Kim Scarmazzino have made no efforts to settle their debts with myself, Terry, or the third party mentioned. They hide, they do not answer phone calls, and they continue on anyway. Saying I am not eligible for re hire is like telling me I am fired after I quit. I wouldn't work for these people if I made a million dollars a day to feed the hungry. These people are predators. Their who livelihood is based on taking advantage of others. Stay away!

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, November 01, 2008

My name is Jim Scarmozzino and I am the President of azcarsandtrucks.com. Amazing. Unbelievable. I am told that by law, I can say nothing in my defense regarding the first part of Terry's complaint. This gentleman and the other employee referenced, Ted, started at the same time and left around the same time. Neither of them are eligible for re-hire. The same applies to a 3rd gentleman who completes this circle of hires. I will say that this 3rd individual did express his complaint in an appropriate venue. That matter has been determined and solved by a competent authority, and I was very pleased with the outcome. Other than that, employers are not allowed to discuss their side of the story in a public venue. However, I do invite you to visit our website. azcarsandtrucks.com specializes in showcasing Arizona classic and other luxury vehicles worldwide. Our global presence is quantified by the number of actual people who visit our site, and we are very proud of our standing. At this time, we are in the top 85,000 of visited sites out of over 21,000,000. This standing represents the power of Arizona vehicles, which are desired throughout the world due to their fine condition, and we are honored to represent them. There are some excellent venues available to list vehicles for sale. azcarsandtrucks.com does not try to re-invent the wheel. We list only for the private party in Arizona who needs our service. I would be happy to speak to anyone who is interested in marketing their classic or luxury vehicle on line. We are not brokers, so we do not charge a commission. Our fee, which ranges from $89.95 - $249.95, is a one-time, non-refundable fee, which includes a personal photo-shoot, assistance with copy writing and a standalone web page to showcase your vehicle. My customers may use their web page passively or pro-actively. A listing on azcarsandtrucks.com is useful in numerous ways and is a first class tool to showcase your vehicle to potential buyers. We travel throughout Arizona, so regardless of your location, do not hesitate to contact me at 480.987.9381. I look forward to being of service to you. Thank you. Jim Scarmozzino President azcarsandtrucks.com

What ever you do, don't buy this service

What ever you do don't buy this service. It is a total scam and it does not work. Jim is slick and pursuasive and he preys on the fact that you really want to, but dont have the time to sell your own vehicle. He will come off as knowledgeable and soft spoken and builds your trust by telling you that your vehicle is worth more than your asking price, and that you should list it with him for a higher price. This tactic usually works with potential customers because they feel they will now make more money. But don't fall for this tactic, it is a ploy to prey on your hopes and sometimes greed.

Jim is an older guy in his mid fifties. He has sold cars for more than 20yrs so that in it self should make you leary. He really prays on the fact that people want to sell their vehicle and he is really good at convincing people that his service works, but it really does not. He will present you with 4 packages ranging from $89 -$249, telling you that the $249.00 package is what you want because it will get you on the home page, but don't fall for it because he really needs the money he will put anyone on the home page for the $89.00 just to get something. The fact of the matter is you are better off just placing your ad in the Auto Trader or the local newspaper and getting a result that has been tried and proven. Jim is a salesman and he will try to turn every situation to his advantage. He will use a tactic of scaring you by saying that you don't want to let strangers in your driveway but that is how for sale by owner vehicles have been sold for years.
