Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Terrible, unprofessionalism since management changed some years back. At one time, they were a nice company, pleasant to deal with and they had a genuine concern for their customers when they came into the area.. They changed management and it went to hell in a hurry.

Auto delivery means nothing - A full week after normal auto delivery time, you run out of gas (heat) in sub-zero temperatures, leave a mesage and they don't bother to call and confirm it, offer an apology or let you know when you can expect delivery. Instead you get the excuse that their computer said you should still have X amount left in your tank!  OK so now a computer can see my gauge that is at Zero?? Give me a break!

Lies - I have never had a business person (a professional, as he stated) lie through their teeth while on the phone! Telling me that my delivery had already been made earlier that morning.... I was standing by an empty tank when he told me this! Really? It must be invisible gas... Can I use invisible ink to write you a check?

Then he starts back peddling when he got 'caught' in a lie, first saying that the delivery would be there a bit later, after I said to cancel it, he then says he can have it there in 10 minutes.

Unprofessional - Not to mention they charge more than any other supplier in the area, sometimes as much as 2 times more! I remember paying near $4.00 a gallon, (others were charging almost half of that) plus $8.50 for HCIC and God forbid something happens and you are late making your payment by one day, they tag on late fees and interst on top of that!  Friends of mine had a $100 bill that ended up costing over $160+ for a couple weeks late bc they had some personal difficulties due to a new baby coming sooner than expected. So they are penalized big time! Price gouging? Yes!

NEVER ever, use their online payment system. I wasn't home when a delivery was made, I normally call my payment into the office and  I wanted to pay as soon as I got home, but the office was closed. I went to their online system (Heller's) and within 48 hours of inputing my card information, my bank account was drained!  I immediately called them, stating they have a security breach or worse (inside job) and they denied having anything to do with the payment system... Yeah, ok, so my bank card information and payment went into cyber space?  I don't think so.  There is always a person on the receiving end. Yes, the incident was turned over to authorities at the time it happened.

Their tanks, regulator & gauges have never been 'serviced' for integrity or wear and tear since they were installed 16 years ago....There were times that I couldn't get an accurate reading on the gauge, they told me to bang it a few times to loosen it up... Yeah, no lie!  I only recently found out that the problems I've had with my heating unit the last 2 winters, had everything to do with the regulator!  I put out hundreds and hundreds of dollars to have them 'service/fix' the unit, only to find out the whole problem existed outside the house and not with the heater itself. (They did clean the pilot light assembly)! I said 'they' because 2 service men were sent ($$).

I could go on and on, but I think I got my point across. Thank you for the opportunity to 'vent', hopefully more consumers won't make the same mistake and think they are a reputable company. Word of mouth is the best advertising!
