I notice Backstreet added addresses to warehouses to their website now, but failed to respond to the actual claims in my report. My report was factual and accusations of "bald-faced lies" are defensive, but ineffective. They still list a UPS Store location in Cupertino, CA as their main address.
If they are the professionals they claim to be, why hide behind a false address. As a company if they were proud enough to list their address, or to be honest when I asked them over the phone, I would have done business with them. Instead I purchased the systems I needed through a competitor who has an ACTUAL address. That was my initial report and still is.
In addition, they did not respond to my assertion that they are not listed through the Better Business Bureau, nor could I find their company name in the California, Nevada, or Utah Secretary of States' Offices. Businesses are required to file documents in the state they list as their home state. They could be based in China or in Texas, but they don't want you to know. Why?
PLEASE check the U.S. BBB online. If a company is not listed, that's one strike. If they hide behind a false address, that's strike two. When they deflect questions about their company's home state, that's strike three. All the yelling and rudeness in their rebuttal just makes me wonder what kind of customer service I would expect if I had done business with them.
Be aware. They may sell quality goods. They may have excellent customer service and be the best at what they do. But what if they aren't? With no address and no listing at BBB what can you do? The folks at the UPS Store in Cupertino Ca. will not be able to help you.
Backstreet could have, as a professional company, responded to my report with details and facts and courtesy. Instead they cut and pasted a standard-form response they made (see their other rebuttal, essentially the same as their rebuttal to my report: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Backstreet-Surveillance/internet/Backstreet-Surveillance-backstreet-surveillancecom-False-advertising-misrepresentation-I-955953 ).
If I were Backstreet I would have responded like a pro, which they want customers to believe they are. "Dear sir or madam. We are sorry you found our website or customer sertvice to be lacking. We take every effort to ensure the highest...." and so on. But read their rebuttal and decide if this is a company who you want to deal with when you need tech support or customer service.
By the way, Backstreet, I love your cut & paste rebuttal opening: "We as a company normally ignore this type of review..." Yet you responded to all the reports here. Folks, do your homework before you spend your hard-earned money. Know who you're doing business with.

The FACT is we have (3) actual negative reviews nationwide from real customers and HUNDREDS of 5 star VERIFIED customer reviews. It’s a track record that shows a company working hard to provide a quality products and exceptional customer service.
We feel it’s always a good idea to check customer reviews before you buy, but it’s extremely important to use credible review sites and trust credible reviews from real customers.
