Badger Plating Lies, deception and poor quality - Basic theft of services and quality workmanship Saint Francis Wisconsin
On Aug 25th 2008 I dropped off two Classic Buick Tail Lamp Bezels for Replating and refinsihing. I was told it would be 4 weeks to complete. After giving them a $180.00 cash deposit (they will only take cash) no credit cards or checks. I started contacting them the third week of Sept and was told on three seperate occasions they would be done by the end of the week and they would call when finished. At the end of almost 6 weeks I called and was lied to saying they had been calling me to advise they were complete. (NO voicemail on cell phone or call to work phone was ever recieved). On 10-3-08 I went to Badger to pick up the Bezels, Upon entering I was required to pay $400.80 in cash before they would allow me to see the finished product. When the Girl Office Mgr went to the back and came out with the Bezels wrapped and taped in newspaper I requested they be opened so I could inspect them. When she opened them up, it was very apparent the replating was terrible, there were imperfections and impurities throughout. It looked as if a child had done the job with a can of spraypaint. I voiced my concern and displease at the job and was told in no uncertain terms that they dont guarantee anything and when they are given junk to process, thats what they give back. The Bezels were in worse shape then when they were given to Badger. The Shop Mgr came by and asked the Office Mgr if there was a problem and she told him "NO" just another "Pissed off" customer and I was then told to leave the premises. I took the Bezels the following day to Two other replaters and was told that it was a very poor job and that Badger Plating was known to "ripoff" folks. I also took them to three folks in the local Buick Club who advised it was some of the worst work they had ever seen. Everybody beware of BADGER PLATING- they are a very poor shop at a high price and deliver poor quality and workmanship.
