Lemme get this straight ... They increased your rate to $155 a year, which comes out to $12 and change per month ... and you think that is unfair???!!! Considering that most people pay $50-80 a month for health club memberships, I say you are getting a bargain! But yet you cry out rip-off! ha! If your contract supposedly says otherwise, why have you never presented them with YOUR COPY of the contract to prove your point? Expecting anyone to hold on to a 20+ year old contract in one location is ridiculous. Such retired documents are often stored in a long-term storage facility, which makes finding one single piece of paper a time-consuming task. From the sound of your story, I would guess that you never kept your copy of the contract, which consequently prevents you from being able to prove your case. Furthermore, if the bathrooms are so filthy as you claim, why on earth would you use the equipment? Don't you realize that people come out of that "disgusting" bathroom, often without washing their hands, and go straight to that same equipment that you are using? You are getting just as many bathroom-germs from using the machines as you would if you lick the bathroom floor. How disgusting!

Because it makes it seem like you are using the equipment as a bathroom. And that will cause many unneeded responses due to it.
