You fell for a very well known scam despite the overwhelming amount of information out there about how it works. A lot of people do fall for it though so you're not alone... However, it is simply amazing that you go to such lengths to blame others for your actions. It is not the responsibility of the counter person at Western Union or Moneygram to protect you from yourself. It is not Bank of America's fault that you chose to deposit a fake cashiers check into your account. The teller even warned you that the check may be fake and you went out and wired the money anyways before the check came back. Wouldn't you have waited a few days until the check was returned by the other bank? For the record, according to the account agreement that YOU signed, you are responsible for everything that you deposit. You are d**n lucky that the bank isn't pressing charges against you for fraud. To fall for a scam is one thing, but to put the bank and Western Union in the thread title as if they are the ones who ripped you off is astonishing. Take responsibility for yourself.
