I have not been a bank of america for long. I went there to cash a large check I recieved and the lady talked me into getting one due to a special they had where I would earn a $200 bonus. I have had nothing but problems with them for this short time.

First off I had SEVERAL problems in the beginning with overdraft charges. Such as the day it went 90c overdrawn, we immediately went and deposited $5 (it had only been negative for not even an hour) the next day we had 5 OD fees due to OLD chrages going through during that one hour period. (we were told our deposit posted immediately) after tons of phone time with several different people that issue was resolved so unfortunately we kept our account.

Well not too long ago I was put on bedrest and have been out of work, pregnant with 2 kids. My husband got a large school check which we CASHED and paid all the bills that we were behind on. There was exactly $600 of the check left and I sent him to deposit it, we had never used to ATM deposit beofre but they encouraged us to do it everytime we made a deposit. My husband deposited all of our money on his way to work. I already knew based on my ledger that there was about $68 in our account (my husband didn't know this balance) when he got home that night I asked him how much was in our account and he said $668, which proves to me he dep. $600 since he didnt know the balance before the deposit. (we don't have a reciept)

Anywhoo. about a week later after paying several bills according to a balance of $668 I called to check the4 account and it was on the day he recieved his paycheck .. all of our outstanding transactions were already listed and debited from his check amount.. We chould have had $200 in there BEFORE his paycheck.. his check was $400 and our balance was $200 something. I listened to transaction history all the way back to his deposit, where it was listed in our history as a deposit of only $400.. We immediately searched for reciept which we did not find. My husband says he KNOWS he deposited all of it, that is why he told me a balance of $668 because he read it on the reciept. HE KNOWS that the reciept said $668 and ATM screen confirmed $600 when he maded deposit. I don't understand how reciept would print $600 but computer would only report $400.

I made a comlaint (filed a claim) the guy refunded all OD fees and gave a temp credit of $200 while it was researched. He admitted to me that mistakes like this with ATM deposits happen often. I had my baby 5 days ago, cant work for another 8 weeks, dont even know how Im going to pay bills or keep a roof and electricity this month and got a letter today stating claim was found NOT to be the banks mistake and now they will take $340 out of our account on the 30th.. we already spent all that money to pay bills, there is no way i will have any money in there on that day, I am so angry with them for doing this and at my husband for not saving the receipt. We know we put that much money in there and it was printed on the reciept, so why would it change between the ATM transaction and posting to our account. My though now is that they should have to prove it in another way such as video footage, I guess we are going to cancel all direct deposits and payments and hurry up and get another bank acct beofer this one goes negative, then we will ATTEMPT to close this account if not then I guess it will just go on our credit for later, who knows how big it will get since I ready that once your account is negative for 5 days they charge fees daily.

I cant believe they can get away with doing this, especially to people who are stuggling horribly, when all the CEO;s who come up with these scams are livin it up.. We feel helpless because of our income, dont think theres anything else we can do.. wish there was. BANK OF AMERICA IS HORRIBLE

'The Talmud And The Ghettoes', correct? And anyone can click on 'Page 94' and read Dr. Mandelstamm's quote in its entirety before reading that passage at least 3 or 4 times, very slowly, right?

*And anyone can go to 'Chapter 17' and read the 21 word quote by Maurice Samuel, isn't that a fact?

'obscure' (definition) - HIDDEN IN DARKNESS.

Which is why you should NEVER EVER make a deposit via an ATM. Even if your husband had the receipt...it would not make one tiny bit of difference. You see if there is a dispute with an ATM deposit or withdrawal..it comes down to your word against the bank.

For all anyone knows you could deposit toilet paper and enter it as a 10,000,000 dollar deposit..so a receipt means nothing. Always make a deposit with a HUMAN teller..and triple check the receipt before leaving the bank.

Now with that said...you have every right to lodge a dispute..which it seems you have. The bank in this case is the investigator, the judge, the jury, and the executioner. And who's side will they be on if they can't confirm the deposit with 100% certainty?

I actually had the opposite issue with an ATM. I attempted to make a withdrawal with the banks debit card..the screen stated "transaction can not be completed at this time, please try again later". Well the bank charged me for the withdrawal (300 dollars) even though no cash was ever dispensed..nor was a receipt since the transaction never completed..and the bank took a month to "investigate" the issue and return the funds. And like yourself...I was living paycheck to paycheck and this caused financial hardship..including a late payment of my rent.

Did the bank or anyone care about my story? NO. So my lesson learned was not to trust the bank..or the ATM, bottom line.
