Bank Of America Does Nothing For ATM FRAUD!!!!Bank Of America Does Nothing For ATM Card FRAUD!!!! Will not refund any of the online charges made to my ATM. Internet
I contacted the bank on March 17th to let the know of many unauthorized charges that appeared to have gone through overnight all on my ATM card and all online purchases. Apparently, why I closed my Checking/Banking account with then in Oct 2007 and opened a new one the bank never cancelled the ATM card associated with old account?! So now six months later someone got a hold of my info and were using it to make purchases. These charges all came out of my new BOA account.
I filed a claim with bank for all charges and a month later receive a letter saying:
"After conducting a thorough investigation....it has been determined that no error has occurred...the transaction activity in question was authorized and posted correctly to your account. Therefore the temporary credit of...will be reversed."
I called them back telling them I filed a Police Report for all these charges and I expected them to do something. They said they could do nothing more.
I then took it upon myself to go down the list and call all these merchants myself. Well apparently none of them were contacted by BOA? So what exactly was part of their THOROUGH investigation??!!
I did a little research and most of the merchants appeared on your website as FRAUDSTERS. I printed all those pages and am sending them to BOA crackerjack Fraud Department and I am also going to send to all local newspapers!!.
BOA is a horrible I am closing my account and going elsewhere. They were completely useless!!
Listed are Merchants: Some refunded emusic and eaucution did not. Some of them gave me the IP address of the Fraudster and they are located in CA. I even have the address some of the items were delivered in CA. And the bank does not care they did not even want the information!!!
