bank of america WE the consumer have the power, We can abandon BOFA and go else where!!! Internet
We, the consumers have the Power over Banks because they rely on us for the business, ofc they charge us many ridiculous fees that consumers complained that is how they keep business going and is not helping consumer in positive way at all.
We the consumer can stop doing business with BOFA "abandon" them and go else where or Protest against Banks that hurt consumer's accounts. We have the power not the banks! again We have the power not the banks! Banks needs us! They wants your money! Once we stop doing business with BOFA or any other banks that does the overdraft charges, it will hurt them.
Remember people! We are the ones, the consumers, that banks rely on us! They wants your money!
Quit whinning take actions people! Fight what we believe is right!

You sure can go to a different bank. But most likely if you are over drafting and being hit with fees at Bank of America it will happen again if you don't change your methods of account (mis)management.
Now, one thing you may not be aware of. Overdraft fees are not mandatory. No bank FORCES them on you. Yes you will hear people talking about mandatory overdraft protection. But no matter how much people want to move the blame to the bank and away from personal responsibility, in the end is your choice to write that check, or use your Debit Card.
Banks are changing their policies, where they will let you opt-out of the overdraft protection. However, that will not guarantee you can't still overdraft your account. What ever bank you go to you need to ask them their policies on overdraft protection, funds availability and how they post transactions. Then most importantly keep a register.
