Bank of America, henceforth know as "The Bank," depleted my checking account for a corporate loan ($3K) made to my ex-husband's company 12 years prior (I was an officer). The Bank took over another bank at which I had an account with my adult daughter, so I became their customer by default. They had also gobbled up the bank where the loan had been made in 1984.

Outstanding checks were paid and an overdraft fee charged. Now The Bank wants me to repay them for paying my checks. I had the funds in my account when the checks were written and I maintain that they took my money without due process. The Bank says that I now owe them almost $9K!

The Bank has threatened to take moneys from my adult daughter's account because her social security number is linked to mine through the joint account. Her name was on the account only to expidite matters if I were to ever become incapacitated. She did not ever use the account.

We have been turned over to collection agencies, TeleCheck and red-flagged for "misuse of bank funds" on our credit reports. We cannot open checking or savings accounts nor receive credit. I have been denied access to my safe deposit box.

I'm sick of their excuse "It's our right of recovery." Go to hell Bank of America.

If you have any problem with Bank of America contact Shane Glor at 863-616-5334 or gentleman by the name of Jason at 863-616-5337. If they are unable to help you demand the phone number of Mr. Glor's boss at 863-616-5335. Trust me your problems will go away, just keep calling until it does. I had several problems with Bank of America and this is the only way to get things fixed. If you are calling long distance ask for the office 800 phone number.
