Paid for Roof, insulation, and window replacement in May. Work has never been started, supplies have never arrived.
Had a roof, window replacement, and insulation quote written up on 4/12/2012 by Joe with Xact Remodeler.
Went under contract 5/15/2012 and was informed that it would take approx. 4 weeks for supplies and permits. Wrote 1st check on that date which cleared the bank on 5/18/2012.
Called numerous times after scheduled start date 6/11 passed, was told they were waiting on a backlog of permits but the paperwork had been filed with the city and work would proceed once it cleared. Last contact was on 7/2/2012 , same message was delivered (backlog at the permit office) but we were given a new start date of 7/9.
Multiple calls have been made since with no response.
The number given was 800.680.2910 and we received a return call from 214.299.8122
As of 7/25/2012 with multiple voice mails left, I have verified with the city that no permit has been requested for our property.
Upon visiting the physical address that was given to us on his invoice 909 W Spring Creek Pkwy Ste 8090, there is no such business at that location. The same hold true for the physical location given to the BBB of 909 W Spring Creek Pkwy Ste 210, Plano, TX 75023-4479
The BBB also has the second business name of Barrier Plus USA registered and pointing to xactremodeler.
Barrier Plus USA LLC is registered in the state of Texas as Jennifer Barnes dba
Entered a Small Claims case against Barrier Plus. Judgment was made in our favor. Going to collections now.

Dear Ma'am or Sirs,
I have a similar incident to report with this Living Social Contact. First, I had only wanted to do the windows in my downstairs living room and possibly the upstairs living room. When Joe/Zack arrived for an estimate, they stated the coupon was for ALL the windows in the house (something NOT listed in the fine details of the coupon!!!). We agreed to do only 2 bedrooms, the kitchen, and the living room downstairs. This project went from 2 long custom panel windows to 19 non-traditional windows.
When the downstairs LR was completed, they left the windows uncaulked and they broke the pulley on the other one, thus eventually creating water damage on the window frames. Next in the master bedroom, they broke out the windows and aluminum frames, which drug glass all over in the berber carpet. In addition 6 of the MB windows are thin and on a circular out-cut, like a bay window, the installers damaged the curved dry-wall and didn't finish sealing the windows on the outside. I could still see day light around the frames.
Next the broken downstairs LR window and dry wall and caulking were supposed to fixed in a couple of weeks. Installation date came and went, my husband and I had to arrange and take off work for them to come fix the issues, however NO ONE showed up or called!! It took several weeks to get a hold of them, followed by several months of me calling them.
I finally got a hold of someone in mid-Oct. He promised to call in the beginning of NOV '12 with a final install date and fix-ups of the windows and install kitchen bay windows. No call and the phone numbers I had were disconnected. (I called all the numbers I could find on the internet.) It's now March 2013 and still no further contact from them!!! It has been a year dealing with these guys and this project with no end in site!! Do NOT used these guys. They are NOT Accountable, professional, nor honest and trust-worthy...such a shame.
I am sorry you had such a bad experience being a one-income family. If our stories help save the frustration and loss of money for even ONE family I am grateful!!
