Base Brisbane Backpackers Abusive And Bigoted Behaviours Lies And Theft On Top Of Death Traps Brisbane Queensland
Wireless internet did not work at all. Front desk lied about it saying you need to visit their login page to pay for it. None of that was working for the many days we were there.
Bed frames are not able to support a person much over 50kg, being made of thin metal tubes poorly welded to flimsy frames. Mine was broken all the way through and was about to cut me to shreds for sleeping on it.
Sink and shower were leaking hot water running down the drain constantly 24/7.
Aircon leaked water into room all over people's luggage.
Fire stairs looked to be unusable, made of oddly constructed concrete plates attached to metal posts jutting from the walls. Stair rails were flimsy and looked unsafe. Fire drill has a cleaner indicate we need to not use them but use the lift. Seems wrong and a death trap.
Going to add another week says they booked in total just now with a tour group, seemed another lie. We booked a new week online to prove them wrong.
Next day manager said they can't extend us for no good reason. These people are out of biz.
