Christopher Guest claimed that he was an expert at web design, and volunteered to perform the following services:
(1) Animated banner ads
(2) Other animations to support promotion and advertising for my sites
(3) SEO Optimization and cleanup of my blog and YouTube site
I paid him over $1000, and he mostly wasted time and made excuses for why he couldn't finish things. After receiving my last payment he virtually disappeared off planet Earth, failing to return emails. He never even gave me a project list or declaration of exactly what he had done and what remained to be done. He had no expertise whatsoever in anything he claimed to know.
I ended up throwing out most of his work and doing it myself.

Christopher "cut off communication" after demanding (and receiving a final advance for work he was supposed to perform. Is this acceptable conduct? PayPal doesn't resolve issues like this favorably where some work has been done, and other work left undone. They are not really an arbitrator of disputes. To get money back from them, you have to be ripped off completely by a scam artist. Christopher is not *quite* at that level yet. He does pretend to do actual work.
Any illustrators out there? Have a look at the horrid cartoon Christopher drew after telling me that he was an illustrator, and just needed some software to perfect his work. He just wants his clients to fund his education.

I ceased communication with this former client after he made outrageous demands from me. As you can tell from his response, he received not only animated banners (including two custom advertisements to be used with adwords, and a cartoon animation), SEO, and website support.
He demanded that I create an adwords campaign without keywords, after we had discussed his targeted audience. He then disputed a payment for work which had been completed and documented through paypal's dispute resolution system. They found in my favor. I had already designed his adwords campaign and had been waiting on him to begin it.
I repeatedly sent him lists of what had been done, and even created another adwords campaign with a new animation to attempt to appease him. His responses became more and more outrageous throughout this time.
This was an altogether unfortunate situation, and the first time I have ever had to deal with such an unreasonable client.
For someone who claims to know more than Einstein, I have serious doubts as to his capacities.
