Received credit card bill for a card with no balance and I don't use.

I was surprised as the card is filed away and I hadn't used in over 1 year. The charge was for BDI Home Lifestyles. I called the number on my bill and they informed me they were a "membership service", selling CD's, etc. They said they had no web site.

I saw another letter on this site from someone stating she also saw the charge of $69.95 for a membership she didn't order.

The same thing happened to me, almost exactly. It's a credit card I rarely use, so I was very confused when there was this random charge on it. I called the number and was told that it was some offering from my credit card company, though normally I get phone calls or letters about offers and I do NOT remember getting something about this. I was told that the amount would be credited to my account and would appear within 1 to 2 billing cycles. I'm sure that they are hoping that people will forget and just let the amount stand, but I'm going to keep a close eye on my account and see what happens. I would love to think that there was just some mix up and that things will be straightened out without too much fuss, we'll see.
