Be Productions, Be Studios, Buzz PR, My Artists Place Deceptive company portrays itself as casting directors and talent agents - then ask you for $4,000 Santa Ana, San Diego California
After being stopped in the Santa Ana mall by a "scout" that works for a company called "Buzz PR" - my daughter became very excited. She was told by this scout that they were casting for kids tv shows the next day and we should come to the screen test.
We went - there were over 100 kids there. When we were called back by a woman named Jo Anna. We asked her point blank if there was money involved. She told me that it would "not be thousands of dollars" and that my kids would have the opportunity to be cast in a tv show. She said the only requirement would be acting classes that she'd refer us to. She repeated Miley Cyrus' name over and over. Evn the flyer I received when I was "scouted" had the Hannah Montanah logo on it.
I went to their sales presentation. The only reason I went was because my daughter was so excited. These people are like used car salespeople. The "actress" named Rebecca WHitman that gave our presentation pulled my daughter aside and told her to tell me she wanted to do this. When I told her that I didn't want to participate in this - she also said to me - in front of my child "don't you want your child's dreams to come true?"
These people are sleazy. While I understand money is invovled in getting your child acting - these people go about it in a dispicible way. I hope they get shut down. Their office looks like they will be in and out of there. My friends who live in San Diego went to their same presentationt here - only it was in a Sheraton Hotel. They actually rung a bell every time a sale was closed.
Parents - stay far away from these people!!!
